MPS-3 - SWITCH OUTPUT MODES

HYSTERESIS DEFINITION

Hysteresis Mode (HYS): This output mode programs the sensor to control the output signals "NPN or PNP" with  switch points "H-1" (output 1) and "H-2" (output 2) on the graph below.  The switch points are adjustable by touch panel and independent.  The Hysteresis is a value "h-1/h-2" to control the output signal  below the switch point "H-1/H-2".  This is adjustable on the sensor and mathematically defined as:

                               (switch point)          "H-1/H-1"

                                     MINUS

                             (Hysteresis value)     "h-1/h-2"

                                                       HYSTERESIS RANGE

WINDOW COMPARATOR  DEFINITION

Window Comparator Mode: This output mode programs the sensor to provide an output signal "NPN/PNP" between switch points "A" and "B" on the graph below.  The switch points "A-1/A-2" (Low point) and "B-1/B-2" (High point) are independent and adjustable on the sensor.  The window comparator mode is sometimes referred to as a "High/Low" setting or a "Failure prediction mode".  The reference depends on the application and pressure ranges.
