SENSOR PROGRAMMING - STEP 1
DEFINITIONS
A. Output Setting Normally Open or Closed:
The output can be set to turn "on or off" up to the pressure
switch point by the user. The output is NPN
(Sinking Voltage) or PNP (Sourcing Voltage). Typically, the system PLC
will dictate the need for NPN or PNP outputs and the system programmer
determines the logic of the output setting N.C. or N.O.
B. Units of Measure: Units
of measure can be selected on the sensor display.
Below
is a chart for the available units of measure based on sensor type.
Units of measures available are as follows:
VACUUM: mmHg (-Hg), inHg (-iH), -Pa (kPa), -bA (-bar), Ps (-PSI), mH
(mmH2o), iH (inH2o)
POSITIVE PRESSURE: Ps (PSI), Fg (kgf/cm2), bA (+bar), Pa (+kPa)

C. Easy Mode Output Switch point:
This feature SHOULD BE THE FINAL OPTION after
completing all the programming sequences 1-8. If activated, the sensor
will only allow adjustments to the switch points "H-1/H-2".
This is to minimize the time required to make switch point adjustments.
The hysteresis values "h-1" and "h-2" previously
will not be changed.

| PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
To initiate this programming procedure press
the "MODE KEY" and "ARROW UP KEY" simultaneously. Press the
"MODE KEY" to enter the information and forward the programming to
the next setting. Continue until the word "END" appears.
A. OUTPUT SETTING OPEN OR CLOSED
| The sensor has two independent
outputs (NPN or PNP) that can be programmed "ON"
(closed) or "OFF" (open) up to the switch
point setting (H-1/H-2 or A-1/A-2). The factory
setting "OU1" and "N.O." will
alternate on the display. To change the output from the
factory setting, press the "Arrow Up" key one
time only. "OU1" and "N.C." will
continue to alternate on the display with the Output 1 indicator
LED "ON". To enter and store this selection
press the "Mode" key. |
|
MODE KEY AND ARROW UP KEY |
|
The programming sequence defaults to "OU2"
(output 2) and
"NO" (normally open), which will alternate on the display. Repeat the
procedure to set Output 2. Again, press the "Mode" key to
enter and store this information.
B. UNITS OF MEASURE
DISPLAY TYPE SENSORS
offer a selectable unit of measure. The programming sequence will
default to the "units of measure"
selection. The factory set unit of measure "-Pa" (Pascal) will appear on the
display. To select another unit of measure, press the "Arrow
Up" or "Arrow Down" key one time. Continue with this procedure until the
desired unit of measure is displayed. To enter the
selection, press the "Mode" key one time and
this information will be entered and
stored in the sensor.
C. Easy Mode Switch Point Changing:
To activate this feature, press the
"Arrow Up" or "Arrow Down" key. "E5Y" and
"ON" will alternate on the display. To exit, press the
"Mode" key one time and the easy mode feature is activated,
the word "End" will appear.
If activated, adjust the previously set switch
point value "H-1", press the "Mode" key one time.
"H-1" and "A Number" previously set will alternate
on the display. To adjust this number press the "Arrow Up" or
"Arrow Down" keys. Press the "Mode" key to enter
this value and the sensor will default to "H-2" and "A
Number" previously set which will alternate on the display. Press
the "Arrow Up" or "Arrow Down" keys to change the
value if necessary. To exit this feature, press the "Mode" key
one time and this information will be entered and stored in the sensor. |
