MPS-74 SERIES
SENSOR PROGRAMMING - STEP 1
DEFINITION
A. Output Setting Normally Open or Closed:
The output can be set to turn "on or off" at the pressure
switch point by the user. The output is NPN
(Sinking Voltage) or PNP (Sourcing Voltage). Typically, the system PLC
will dictate the need for NPN or PNP outputs and the system programmer
determines the logic of the output setting N.C. or N.O.
B. Units of Measure and Remote Pressure
Range Selection: Units of measure
can be selected on the sensor display. Also, the pressure range of the
remote sensor must correspond to the pressure range selected on the
MPS-7 Series to display the appropriate
pressure.

| PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE A. OUTPUT SETTING OPEN OR CLOSED
| Select output configuration N.O. or N.C.
for each individual channel by pressing the mode key and
arrow "UP" keys simultaneously. Change output
configuration N.O. or N.C. by using arrow "UP"
or "DOWN" keys. Press the mode key to enter
and store information. Display will automatically
default to the next channel. Repeat this procedure for
the remaining channels. |

B. UNITS OF MEASURE AND
REMOTE PRESSURE RANGE SELECTION
Select the pressure
scale for each individual channel by pressing the mode key
two times ("2" displayed). Select the scale for
the appropriate remote sensor. After selecting, display
will automatically default to selecting the preferred unit
of measure. Press "Arrow Up" or "Arrow
Down" keys to select the unit of measure. Press mode
key to enter and repeat the procedure for the remaining
channels. Each channel is independent.
